Looks like Louis gets to play for at least the first 2 games.  Case pushed back 2 weeks for review, but he was given the temporary ability to continue to play.

maybe can just play the delay game and get it pushed back until january.

My question is if the NCAA succeeds in ruling him ineligible later does that create any risk that we have to forfeit games he participated in? While this is good news I don’t know enough about the details to know if there are any implications if we play him.

@olympian97 from what I’ve been told, no that’s not a risk.

NCAA is just awful. Still operating as the old gestapo mentality.

Any chance he plays the first two games, the court rules against him, and IU is forced to forfeit the two games he played in?

@kelly_32 I have been told that is not a risk. But it is the NCAA and they play by the "Whose line is it anyway rules" it seems.

The NCAA won’t make us forfeit games.  If they did, the court issued TRO would by definition no longer be a TRO.

Kind of a blessing and a curse.  If he was ruled ineligible then that would mean more playing time for Baldwin or Bonds probably to get more snaps before Big 10 plan.  With him playing if he is ruled ineligible after the first two games then you loose some opportunity to get the young guys ready before Big 10 play.  If he wins, then great, you get to pick and choose when you get the young guys snaps when its best for them.

@bbh42 Good point.  It's a tricky situation to manage.

@bbh42 Was thinking the same thing.  His backups hopefully will get ample opportunity to play in lopsided wins.
