Has anyone ever seen anything like that? That could NOT have been scripted better. That was like a Hollywood movie ending, with the right foot hovering just above the out of bounds and then being replaced with the left foot just MILLIMETERS in bounds.
That was incredible. Absolutely incredible. That’s the stuff of legend. Thats Keith Smart level stuff.
Wow.
I didn’t appreciate it at the time, but after watching it 100 times, it truly was incredible. And all kinds of people calling it best catch they’ve ever seen. What a time to be alive!
That catch defied physics.
I haven't seen every catch in IU football history, but I can't imagine there's a better (or more important) one.
Yeah, they overdid the CGI if they expect me to believe that. A foot doesnt hover and a toe doesnt tap at that angle without the heel hitting the line next. Come on...!
I put one of the clearest replays on loop. So awesome. Loved Coops reaction too! He was like a centerfielder making the grab diving and then holding the glove up to the umpire to show it. Then the excitement.
Then I put our final drive on loop and watched that 8 or 9 times. I enjoy the thousands of youtube and reddit comments about that grab.
What a game to win.

Gus Johnsons call was so fun too. Both guys,.. he caught it, no way...lol.
I cant wait to hear a recording of Fisch.
Point of order: In IU lore, The Catch shall be capitalized for all time, and all IU football fans will know of what you speak.
In fact, the proper response to hearing someone say The Catch shall be the response "In Cig we trust" or "Coopers feet be blessed" (each of which may be murmured when in mixed sportsfandom company).
The thing that kills me is that his left foot was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up in the air when he caught the ball, and his right foot was just inches from the ground, but somehow he was able to force that left foot all the way down to the grass before his right foot landed OOB. It was like Matrix level shit.

Oh, and let's not forget, if Cooper hadn't outdone it, we'd all be talking about that amazing catch by Becker a few plays before. Everyone just stepped up right when we needed it.
One of the most hilarious comments I saw on TikTok today of the clip was a guy who said “Incomplete. He didn’t get both feet in bounds. He only got one.”
The lack of knowledge of college football rules out there by many people is absolutely mind boggling.

I’ve been waiting for a Charlie Becker coming out party for a while and today was it.
Becker had offers from Vandy, Ole Miss, Northwestern and IU. The kid is 6’4 and he used every bit of that frame today to outjump defenders.
@goat After that terrific catch Becker made at the end, I swear I saw Coop said to him: "Not bad. Hold my beer."
@goat Underrated is how vertical Cooper had to get to snag that pass, I didnt think it was possible for people to jump that high
Beckers was awesome. He had that sweet grab over a guy earlier too. But not sure we turned it into points. Maybe the FG.Oh, and let's not forget, if Cooper hadn't outdone it, we'd all be talking about that amazing catch by Becker a few plays before. Everyone just stepped up right when we needed it.
Everyone involved. Four receivers made grabs on that drive. Sack! 🙁 Then, Cooper, 1st down!, Williams, 1st down! Nowakowski, 29 yards, 1st! Becker, amazing 1st!, ... COOOOP! TD!
Have to coach these guys up though..., 10 play drive, 1:12 . Use a little more clock next time.
Man, teams never do something like that even with all 3 timeouts left.
One moment of terror in there, when the goal line 2nd down batted ball went up and hung in the air between several Penn State defenders, but the ball found the one clear spot to land. Our old luck that lands in their arms.
