@thehoosierhuddle Part of Mendoza’s success was due to his large frame, and his ability to use it to his advantage to get that extra yard on difficult runs. Hoover from the sounds of it is much smaller. I’m curious where you see Hoover struggling that separates him from Heismendoza ? Any areas you could see Hoover really excelling?
@paterade Probably not much, but it’s hard to ask him to win the Heisman and go 1:1 in the NFL draft. Hoover has a good arm, can use his feet as well. We’ll know more when we see the scrimmage.
Good read. Great to have Brunner. Interesting that he describes Bostad as not showing a lot of emotion, when most of the time he get described as intense. Which not being around him I always assumed meant a bit motivational football coach stereotype style. Although now I remember Cig describing it as quieter intensity.
Alberto Mendoza also praises his new school culture. I think it must be mandatory for transfers.
... I would put it up there with a national championship culture. ....
Although I have to admit, this part of that quote had me chuckle: it's one of the top cultures that I've been around so far. ...
So, in other words, of the two programs he has experience with, GT is in the top two.
