Yeah, probably she answered some questions honestly.
Maybe they had more evidence then the extremely thorough, Im sure, investigation Michigan says they conducted a couple months ago. Where they say they couldnt find evidence that they werent able to sweep under the rug.
He is a piece of crap. I understand going from 7 million+ per year to nothing is tough. But he chose it. Cant be pulling knives on people and terrorizing anyone much less a young woman.

@jackskip23 How many times does Curt Cignetti and his people have to say no, before it's not unbelievable he stays at IU. Why would he go up to Michigan? What can he accomplish there that he hasn't or doesn't have the opportunity to at IU.
Like I said when people said he was going to Penn State, the ONLY opportunity Michigan presents that IU doesn't, it the opportunity to get fired.
When you’ve had the success Cignetti has had, you’re going to be in demand. What AD wouldn’t reach out to gauge interest, regardless of whether he’s said he’ll coach IU for the next 50 years?
Plenty of people didn’t think he’d leave JMU, and several told him he’d be wise to wait for a “better” opportunity. He listened and then made the move anyway. If either Whitten or Dolson were to leave, he’d be more apt to listen, as well. And if DeBoer were to go to UM, suddenly the Alabama job would open and he’d likely be on their wish list. The world is a fluid place, and that’s definitely the case in his profession.
I don’t think anyone is disputing he is in demand. Of course he is. His agent probably gets calls every week.
He’s made it pretty clear the answer is no. Right now there are betting lines for around 25 coaches for the UM job and Cig isn’t even listed.
Sure, something could change, but there aren’t signs of that. He doesn’t really have ties to Bama — four years as a WR coach and recruiter isn’t much.
Things are working really well at IU. That’s not something many coaches leave. While we aren’t a traditional football powerhouse, I suspect the independence and freedom here to build and run the football program to his exact standards is important, plus the resource gap ain’t what is used to be.
We’ll see what happens. Personally at this stage I just don’t see it happening.
Cig is too old to pull a Kiffin.
Well, I suppose he could, for many years yet. But he is at the program building age. The legacy building age. Not chasing the new shiny toy. He is not stupid.
The state of Indiana had a successful run this year. Kraft went Benedict Arnold to tear down PSU and little brother sent a kompromat specialist to take down Michigan
We run the B1G now. Just need to get Lanning and Day to new jobs and we are in for a Saban run gentlemen.
@hoosierdaddy and I was thinking we missed a good one, not trying to get Pat Kraft as AD, he's really made a mess at PSU, Campbell has a lot to clean up
He upped her salary to $91,000 as his "secretary". He was stalking her as well. It's Michigan, they cheat until it's not paying off or they are caught. Michigan knew, it was ok until they lost to the Buckeyes. Only then did they turn on him.Why do you think they waited until Moore could not beat Ohio State to fire him?
Apparently the investigation began in October. Some of the details were hard to prove, at the time. I'm guessing the staffer denied it?
Then something happened recently with (believe it or not) a Door Dash delivery driver talking, the rumor mill says. Then enough wealthy alumni were clued in such that donations / NIL money was threatened.

Campbell will be able to get PSU running again pretty quickly. He has some work to do but there is plenty there to work with. He’ll be fine.
@jackskip23 I like Campbell a lot as a coach, and he does a lot more with less than damn near anyone. I’m not sure how well he will translate to big leagues though. He gives me Dan Gamble (Campbell) vibes. I think PSU should be a consistent 9 win team with him, and upset OSU more frequently than Franklin’s once, but they won’t ever be a 12-0 type.
His teams have always punched up, but get into knife fights with bad teams. I’m looking forward to some spooky matches with them in the years to come
Oh my. Not sure if anyone has read the transcript of events, but it says he grabbed “butter knives”. This dude was being dramatic and wasn’t going to do anything with those knives. He may as well have grabbed some forks too. lol. On a more serious note, I just feel so bad for his family and Michigan is partly to blame for not making sure he had the proper counseling available to deal with this. They are so lucky he didn’t do something worse and take someone’s life. Thankfully he didn’t and hopefully he gets the help he needs to adjust to a new life outside of football.

I think her job duties went beyond secretary when she had her pay increased. There was an actual job change because her promotion went through the UM HR apparatus.
You can say that again...

@hoosierific At least in some sectors, he will be a hero of sorts. In this day & age, it’s much easier to land on one’s feet after a precipitous, public fall from grace.
His career might have survived the extramarital affair. That didn't wreck Rick Pitino and others. But then it went off the rails and he was apparently abusive, stalking, suicidal and possibly even homicidal. I don't think you can put all that in the rear view mirror, if any of that is true.
Yes, the affair no biggie, it's all the other shit he did that won't be overlooked. His career is toast.
