@walt542 Agreed, they have a lot of seniors on their team who were part of successful teams, and for their fans they dont really have anything else to root for other than an upset.
Their season outlook (outside of possibly upsetting #2 at home) is Michigan State, Rutgers, and a home game with Nebraska (who is missing Raiola) to possibly make the toilet bowl that their entire team will opt out of

A little nervous about this one. Have no idea if Penn State really shows up, and if they do they have the talent to give anybody all they can handle. But I know we will show up.

OSU beat them 38 to 14 but PSU benefitted from a very bad call at the end of the half. 38-7 better describes that game.
Don't think PSU can throw it against either IU or OSU.....but I do think IU's run D is a little better than OSU's.
But....OSU hit a # of bombs v. PSU. That's not our strong point, and they get a few points for being at home. So, I'll go with 31-10 IU.

I hear you, but did you watch the OSU-PSU game? I mean you watch OSU and go Sayin, shit...Smith, shit, Tate, damn, Klare, son of a B, Reece, Downs, Styles.........Then you look at PSU, and see Allen.....who else you really afraid of? They lost their QB who could get going and hurt you, and their All-Everything DE. Their WRs aren't very impressive.....Don't know.....I was scared before the Illinois game, the Iowa game, the Oregon game, even the UCLA game but I just feel pretty good about this one for some reason.
@openwheel Yep. This is the only game remaining that gives me a bit of anxiety. (Wisconsin and Purdue are glorified high school teams, so I expect two blowouts.)
Top to bottom, PSU's roster is strong, as you mention. But their Give a Shit meter has been at zero since the OT loss to Oregon, so I envision a double-digit win. Whether that's 10 points or 40, I have no idea.
Bonus prediction: Iowa 24, Oregon 20
Obviously anything can happen when playing a team like Penn State, in front of their 100k plus crowd. IU is quite obviously a better football team. That should end up determining the game. But man, I’m a little nervous for this one. Everyone seems to be banking this one already.
I think IU is enough better that they should overcome the crowd, and any sort of inspired play from PSU. But I bet it’s pretty close.

with the deep dive i did on this game, i'm very confident iu wins but it's also hard to ignore how hard it is to win on the road, especially against a team with as much talent as psu in beaver stadium.
i picked 38-10 in my piece and i'm obviously sticking with that.
i had it as 24-10 and decided i was sick of going under and losing. i really think psu is going to have a very hard time moving the ball on offense but i also think psu's defense isn't that bad...we shall see.
