The receiving duo at Ohio State deservedly gets a lot of praise but Sarratt and Cooper Jr are just as good.
Elijah Sarratt 43 rec 603 yds 14.0 avg 9 TD
Jeremiah Smith 49 rec 602 yds 12.3 avg 7 TD
Certainly two of the best tandems in college football. The OSU offense has zero pressure since the defense is, dare I say, generational.
I think the Bucks are on their own tier, with IU and Bama (and maybe A&M) a notch below. IU has certainly closed the gap this season, but OSU is a beast ... better than last season's title team.
@gthomas Not sure. We don’t really have a way to compare except for mutual opponents. IU certainly looks competitive that way. I haven’t watched them much though TBH.
I’ll admit Jeremiah is the best, but that’s it.
I’m getting tired of underrating our guys vs those at the traditional powers.

What is your logic of OSU or any SEC team being on par with IU, let alone ahead?
@yothn I have eyes. It's not difficult to see OSU is on its own level.
@gthomas I definitely think Ohio State is above all other teams in their own tier, but that team last year was the best college team I’d ever watched during that playoff run.
This year we have a chance it will be played out in Indy. I like our chances.
So many things to compare... QBs, WRs, are certainly getting the most attention. OSU does not appear to have much of a run game (maybe they don't need it) and they have no confidence in their kicker. If it is a nasty weather day in late November and OSU can't effectively run and don't have a competent kicker, they will lose to Michigan again. And IU still has a few tough games as well.
We definitely have the top 2 receiving units in the league. After their top 2, Innis has 14 catches and Klare has 20, both with 1 TD. Both over 10 yards a catch.
E.J. is 3rd the team with 19 catches (3 td) and Nowakowski has 11 catches with a score. E.J averages 11 yards and Nowakowski averages 12 yards.
We're about as even as even can get, in terms of stats.
EJ and Nowakowski quietly get things done during critical points in the game. A terrific tandem of check down opportunities !!!
The crazy thing is, depending on how much we air it out the rest of the year, we realistically have a chance at having TWO 1000 yard receivers. With at least 6 more games to play; approximately 75 yards a game for each would do it.
Both already average over 80 a game right now.
@drjb Going into the game, I thought IU and Oregon were evenly matched. I was wrong; IU is clearly the better team.
Gun to my head, OSU is the only team I'd pick to beat IU on a neutral field. I don't think it would be a mismatch like last year's game, but it's tough to envision anyone beating the Bucks.
In any case, you're correct: We'll see on Dec. 6 when #1 OSU (12-0) plays #2 IU (12-0) in the B1G Championship Game.
@yothn It's simply my opinion. Didn't mean to offend your delicate sensibilities.
