Interesting series. Going back to his Michigan St days he started the process. Dr. Rosen and the process has all the Cignetti catch phrases. I trace our championship back to that.

@d-b-cooper Has it mentioned Cignetti at all? Figuring if it was put together after last season they'd at least include a mention.

Nick Saban was a DB coach under Cigs dad, Frank Cignetti before Cig coached under Nick.  If the story doesn't talk about that, then it's missing a key piece.

Did you talk about how Saban and the SEC cheated paying players for years?

@yothn sure but his system didn’t start until his Michigan state days. I’m not fully through it yet but that “every play has a life of its own”  6 second play came from the psychologist at Michigan state. That’s when it all started clicking.

No, I am not questioning the philosophical statement about every play having a life of its own.  I am saying any documentary about Sabans coaching career that doesn't mention Frank Cignetti is like a Cignetti coaching career not mentioning Saban.

@yothn I get all that but I’m not fully through it. It bounces around timelines.

Yeah, I watched it. lol  The timeline jumping thing is weird.  I get they were doing that for dramatic effect but personally, I prefer it to stay in chronological order.

This series has been great. ESPN does such a better job at these things than Fox and BTN

Oh don’t worry…, they Were paying their players…; just a whole lot more people than only the agent were getting a cut off the top (the bagman, the aunt/uncle, neice/nephew, h.s.coach, the Grand Cayman banker, etc…)

NIL just leveled the playing field with the SEC (and the Big Two in the BT).
