Every big game Ive probably predicted around 28/34-17/23 . And I havent been close... But weve won them all. So,

Indiana 30 - 24 Miami

Hoosiers!

This one will go very much like the Rose Bowl and Peach Bowl.  Miami will make some good plays early, on offense and defense, to give the appearance that we might actually get a game.  And then we'll methodically build a comfortable lead by halftime.  In the 2nd half, we'll bury them.

IU 38

The U 14

@dbmhoosier T-Cal dropped this last night. IU defense is a bad matchup for Beck and Miami. Books know it too.

Yep.

I know five things for certain:

1. IU has the better coach.

2. IU has the better QB.

3. IU is FAR more disciplined.

4. IU can win without its A game; Miami cannot.

5. Relatedly, there are many more paths to victory for IU.

And if I hear hes more experienced because this is his 3rd national title game....he played the last couple minutes of the TCU blowout. Otherwise hes played as much as Mendoza has.

@dbmhoosier Miami is a soft ass team. Mental midgets. They have a few guys in the trenches on both sides of ball who are round 1 dogs, but the rest of their team? Not physical. Fletcher is physical but he isn’t “fast”, we will swarm him

I want to see some big hits on Toney and Beck early, and some quick throws to the flat or on out routes on offense to try and get their DL running

Miami is obviously capable of beating us.  If they're the A&M and OSU Miami, it'll be a decent game, probably fairly low scoring.  If they're the Ole Miss Miami, that showed some of the flaws they showed in the regular season, we'll house them.

I suspect we'll see a good mixture of both.  They're going to play, at times, like they're on fire... Coked up Mike Irvin belting IU jerseys, Ray Lewis doing his dance... they'll have some high moments, I'm sure.  But at some point, IU's competence and dominance of execution will take over.  And that emotion that Miami will rely upon, will turn on them.

IU 34, Miami 20.

@hoosierdaddy they run down on outs. They are very vulnerable over the top and they do miss tackles. Mendoza will get early shots.

I think you're onto something. I can see IU establishing the pass to open up the run ... especially with their top CB out for the first half.

A couple of the ESPN guys just took Miami.  Seem to think they'll dominate the lines and make the game a brawl.

@dbmhoosier I just made a comment on that in another thread.  Booger McFarland kept talking about Miami's NFL talent. What, OSU / Alabama / Oregon / Penn State didn't have NFL talent when we beat all of them? He's acting like we went 12-0 playing in the Patriot League or something and haven't faced NFL type players all year.  I guess these guys just have to say something contrary to everyone else.
