Potential 5 Year Rule Proposal

Am I the only one who didn’t know about this? This would be a big deal if it happened. Seems kind of complicated in that a decision would have to come soon to impact this year as these players are going to start making decisions for next year soon. I’m not sure how realistic this is as a possibility, but I just stumbled across this article.

Diego Pavia only had 4 years + 2. Would be unfair to him if he doesn't get a 5th (7th) year.

It only applies to true seniors (didn’t use a redshirt) based on the article. If Pavia were to get included based on the exclusion of CC years against eligibility then so would Louis Moore. This is LM’s 4th season at the FBS level.

I think anything less than 10 years is a ludicrous Smile

There are just not enough years for players to be able to earn enough to retire.

Good point. Based on Pavia's comments at the Heisman ceremony, he's probably only a sophomore academically, junior at best.
