Yeah, this game started off looking like it would be a blowout, but osu defense definitely didn’t look like the #1 defense last series.
OSU defense looked fraudulent against Illinois, Illinois killed themselves in that game otherwise they would have scored 24-27 on OSU.
OSU has yet to play a team that has a good OL, and a complimentary run/pass game. I think we will be able to score a lot of points on them. On the flip, I think they will score a lot on us. Their WR have several yards of separation on seemingly every play. Tate ran a go route where he was peddling backwards for like 5-6 yards and the DB still didnt catch up to him. With how our secondary has struggled with missed assignments, that could get ugly.
OSU RBs look really bad, their OL has been better at run blocking than pass blocking too... Weird to see a OSU team that doesnt have a elite RB
OSU needs to kill this PSU confidence. I dont like this. They will probably beat them by a score and have their fanbase believing in an upset for our road game.
OSU is mid.
Just like Maryland, all of PSU losses so far have been razor tight in the BIG. I believe both records are very deceiving.
For all of PSU's dysfunction, they still have 5-stars and future NFLers all over the field. I'm not surprised they're hanging with OSU (for now) ... and I wouldn't be surprised if they hung with IU in State College. For a while, anyway.
Smith and Tate are making Sayin a serious heisman contender this game. Dudes are wide open on seams and go routes every damn play. His accuracy is really impressive, but he should not be a serious contender - if anything his WRs should be.
Our DBs are going to have their work cut out for them, these guys are scary fast
I'm hoping Ohio St pounds the shit out of them. Leave them for dead which will make our trip to Happy Valley a little less stressful because I think they will have gotten more into the "giving up" mentality for this season.
First half was close but the pounding has begun.
Nobody knows what targeting is.
- Buckeyes flexing their muscles this half. Glad Illinois is looking good.
OT - Cristobal is a recruiter, not a coach.
My question to our fan base is, what do you want to see or expect in this game?
I want to see OSU destroy all hope for PSU, so that next week our team doesnt have to travel to a rowdy 100k+ stadium and have to fight tooth and nail for a win. If PSU beats OSU, they will be riding high and will be a very dangerous opponent.
Even if PSU plays up to their talent level these next couple weeks, national media would give us no respect for a close win, and a lot of hate for a loss. Could knock us from a bye week to an away game in the playoffs if the worst case scenario happened. If they beat OSU and we beat PSU, they will just say the B1G is weak.
My hope for all of our remaining games is to be able to build up a nice halftime lead, and get our starters out some time in the 3rd Q so we are fresh for the playoffs.
The #1 ranking right now is meaningless. We are so close to starting the war for the title, and at #2 its semantics over going up 1 more spot - we are in position for a bye right now either way
A beatdown on psu by Ahia could also work the other way. Next would be their season saver, their super bowl. Psu still has a ton of talent, but has been poorly coached.
Franklin, like Fleck at Minnehaha is a way better recruiter than coach. I think Stoops at Ky is in the same basket.
OT - This Michigan team has little chance against Ohio State. No way. Even Ryan Day can't f*** this up.

Mich look awful vs Pu. Ahia should throttle them. Wish IU had them again this year.
