Will be interesting to see how good he really is. Insane amount of money being poured into a staff and facilities. I toured the Michigan facilities on Easter. IU is so damn far behind on facilities. I’ll die on that hill.

On the bright side facilities are less important  in this era.

Owings had one foot out the door the moment he arrived in Bloomington.

Sure, Tennessee has good facilities but what did it get them? An 8-5 record last season and bowl loss to Illinois. Coaching matters at the end of the day.

We will never win a title if this administration thinks it can skimp on facilities!

- ... We re touring a 100 million dollar football facility. Something you will only see in the SEC. -

Sounds like ESPN. If the SEC cant beat em, brag about facilities.

It is nice.

I would bet in the facilities that matter, we aren't behind.  Other teams may have nicer stuff, bigger rooms but our weight rooms and player centric facilities have all been upgraded recently.  It is the press box and stadium that is most showing its age (which doesn't really hinder player improvement)

IU has good facilities. Rather spend money on coaches and players

@thehoosierhuddle I’ll still say it. Lost us a strength coach. Will that matter? Maybe. I’m willing to bet money it will matter after NIL levels off. These schools wouldn’t be doing it if it didn’t matter. Doesn’t change the fact IU is behind.

@d-b-cooper Really? That’s why he left? Didn’t realize that.

  • @thehoosierhuddle You can’t seriously say they aren’t. Sure everything is adequate but you can’t say the facilities are equal. This all might be good enough for now but any sane person would understand IU is always behind. This is what happens when people just say, “Oh it’s good enough”. Like I said I’ll die on this hill.

@zeke4ahs he basically said it in the video. It seems our fans have been groomed.

@d-b-cooper What are they behind on though? Equipment? They have a football only room.

@thehoosierhuddle I can’t. I just can’t. I saw first hand elite facilities. It’s so far apart you will not convince me it’s going to be enough. You won’t see it.

@d-b-cooper so what does IU need to have enough? Can things be improved? Always. Is it an emergency? No, they went 16-0 and won a title.
