Good read Sammy! There certainly are pitfalls in both formats….you listed a few within your article. Maybe the answer would be simply jumping to a 16 team format and call it a 4-4-2-2-1-3. That way if the top seeds from either/both conferences get upset, they could still snag an at large spot.

@midwolfe thanks. It’s not a perfect system and nothing is going to make everyone happy.
I just hope that these greedy suits don’t kill the golden goose to squeeze an extra buck out
