@evanalvarez8 Betting the under is betting against fun. Also, we'll see about the weather. Still 10 days out and it could turn east and go up to the Carolinas. Forecast has changed every 6 hrs for the 30th.

Hammer the over! Cig knows all about ODU since he coached against them at JMU so complacency is not an option

Call me treasonous if you want, but in the opening game the under is probably a smart bet most of the time.  If you recall, even last year’s team looked underwhelming on the offensive side of the ball in that opening game.

i actually bet iu -23.5 a couple weeks ago. i think it will be close to that number but also that iu will want to send a message and could see them score late to cover.

@yothn That game is/was really interesting. South Carolina was dreadful in that opener and they needed to recover two fumbles inside the ten-yard line to score their only two touchdowns. ODU outgained them 305 to 288 and the yard chickens had only 114 yards through the air and ran for just 3.1 yards per rush. If Old Dominion does not turn the ball over four times, they win that game.

Now, I do think it's fair to point out that LaNorris Sellers was making his first start and they kept him on a very, very short leash with extremely conservative play-calling. I expect a very different gameplan from Mike Shanahan and the Hoosiers.
