Good job, guys. Really enjoyed the look-back. So, so many good moments in a magical season.
You and Cig can put last season in your rearview mirror, but not me! I bet I've watched at least 1 video of last year's season every day since it happened, and expect that to continue well into next season. If there could be a downside to Coopers amazing TD catch vs PSU it's how much it overshadowed that drive (including Becker's amazing catch 2 plays prior). Best drive in IU football history. So glad I got to take my son to Atlanta. I would imagine that Ponds pick 6 is the loudest play I'll ever hear at a sporting event. I still laugh that they did a train horn whistle after each score, and I never heard it on that play, even though it was at our end of the stadium. When Oregon scored on their next drive, I was like "hey, what gives: their doing a train horn when Oregon scores!" It came from behind their section so I thought it was some Oregon trickery.
We aren’t actually going to act like it never happened haha. It’s just our last NC centered piece for a while.
If you listen to the stadium audio only replay of the Ponds pick six you can almost hear the train whistle…almost.
Rather than start a new thread I thought the rings sort of fit here…
Apologies if they have already been discussed.
I can't stop being amazed reflecting back on the dominating Indiana defense.
Hypothetically, one could propose if you remove about 8 to 10 head scratching snaps and plays, Indiana's defense is one of the best 3 to 5 defenses of all time in College Football history.
Reflecting back, off the top of my head, and please correct me if I'm forgetting something.
2 Joseph ODU runs
2 blown secondary coverages that went for long TDs, one against Illinois and one against Oregon.
Two or three plays against Penn St. including the one where the field judge blocked Ponds and shielded another defender. I still contend the swing pass that went for the TD was sprung by a WR block in the back.
The Mendoza pick against OSU that gave them the ball in the Redzone which yielded a short field TD. And to a lesser extent that junk yards on the Hail Mary to end the game to Smith.
The garbage time yards and TD conceded to Oregon in the CFP. Cant think of any one play specifically.
The Fletcher 60 yd run in the Miami title game.
@middawg The first quarter against Michigan State too. Gave up 10 points.
in an era where playing defense is tougher than any previous, Indiana was elite.
Oh, I forgot that Wisconsin trick 4th down play that went for a TD that wasn't covered well.
I will have to rewatch that Mich St. first quarter to see if anything head scratching happened.
@middawg It is kinda funny to think back to the first play of the greatest IU and maybe CFB season ever. I lost the ball like most people and a few seconds later frickin' Colton is running right towards where I was sitting for a TD. It was quite jarring. But it worked out. 😎

Ahhh, but when you relistened were you jumping up and down, hugging your son while you were both screaming at the top of your lungs? That might've played a role!
Cig told us to rip off the rearview mirror after the Oregon game. The man hates rearview mirrors.
@kkott No, and I definitely didn't hear it live. Heck, I could barely hear Fisch's call and I was sitting next to him. The last thing I heard before a wall of noise was Buck going "Here we go".

Sorry if my screaming drowned out the train horn

We didn't make many tackling mistakes but think it was Ferrell, took a bad angle on that, wasn't blocked and just took a really bad line. Looks like he thought he was turning it up one hole early.
