Or, they're integrating a lot of new players, after losing a ton of leadership from last year's team. The team is NOT going through the motions, that much I'm confident of. So, you love to tout your prognostication abilities, what do you foresee: 4 losses, 5? Please share what you think our record will be at the end of the regular season?
They keep playing like this and five losses are a distinct possibility. Kentucky brought in far more players and just beat the hell out of Texas A&M on the road. So spare me the excuse that IU just needs time to integrate new faces on the roster.

It's amazing how much more excited I am this week about a game we could LOSE ... 😆 Than anything we've played so far. Although I was looking forward to the Western Kentucky game. The others I tried to not view as tuneups. But couldn't help it.
After Cig's presser where he seemed disappointed getting fan criticism for the schedule but explaining why. I am 100% on board with it. Coaching isn't just 'snap his fingers'. Cig is so cool though, he said 'I understand that' on the sentiment.
But the home crowd gets a good one this Friday.
And I am excited - over a game we could lose. LOL (Of course I'm just as confident as everybody here that we put it to them.)

Yeah, I didn't think you'd have the balls to actually make a prediction, but rather something you can back away from when we continue to improve... and oh boy, if we don't, how you'll relish saying you were right. What a crap way to be a fan. TX A&M was overrated, and I think Stein is a good coach, but they got owned by Bama the week before at home, I believe. Things come together for different teams at different times. Hard to make any judgements off the teams we've played, but some of those questions should start to be able to be answered beginning Friday. But, keep your chin up, there's always a chance we could lose!
@iugradman There are causes for concern, if the context is contending for a National Title again. When you bring 5 losses in, as the context, we look like the 85' Bears. 9-3 or 10-2, sure. 7-5... no chance without a BUNCH of significant injuries, and probably not even then. Turn that frown upside down! IU football is a top 10 program, and the defending national champ! And neither Bill Lynch or Tom Allen are walking through the door. Cig, and Haines, and Shanahan, I suspect, could will pretty much any roster to 8-9 wins. That's what their version of a drop off will likely look like, if and when it happens. Their standard is too high for 7 wins.
