I never really cheer for them but with their awful schedule, I was afraid they might go undefeated. And I sure didn’t want that to happen the year after we did it.
Yeah, OK I’m happy to see them go down, but it does not lessen the sting for me.
Doesn't lessen anything. But it is always nice to see ND lose. Especially on a questionable last play. The only issue is we will have to hear ND fans piss and moan about this game for months now.
@walt542 - I agree we dont want to be a team that takes moral victories. That being said, most thought after the first 6 games, that we were not close to who we were last year.
We missed 2 FGs and all we needed was one of them and we would've been kicking a fg at the end to win it with no time remaining instead of throwing a fade towards the endzone on 4th down. Not to mention all the other missed opportunities. We had about 8 ways to win and although we clearly need to fix it, I certainly feel like we have a team that can compete for a national title and the best coaching staff that can help them clean up these mistakes. I'm not happy with the outcome but Im confident we can beat anyone. Just ask OSU after their Texas loss. We're in a great spot, gents.
Pretty fun evening switching back and forth between Miami and ND. Was hoping like crazy they'd both go down. Same with the earlier games for Alabama and Georgia. Wild day of college football. It'll be fun to see how far we fall in the polls compared to everyone else who lost. I've got a feeling they'll penalize us more than the others.
I’m not sure why I’m not as devastated as I usually am, but I’ve been saying all year the football gods were going to come for us eventually and they may have been it. I’d rather lose to a really good team, as opposed to Nebraska last week for example. I think there are about 10 teams who could win it all and we are one. We may see Ohio State in Indy. I hope so. I had thought about if we’d hit that field goal that’s all we needed at the end. I hope Nico figures it out or gets fully healed if that’s the issue. We are going to need him.

it sucks to lose but yesterday renewed some confidence that if we clean up the fixable mistakes
which i believe our staff will, we are gonna be really tough to beat the rest of the way.
and that's about all you can ask for
now that payola $$$ has spread out the talent throughout CFB, no one is really safe anymore
be ready for 60 minutes and TCB
Huh? That's the gravy! The only issue is we will have to hear ND fans piss and moan about this game for months now.
