and their fans are not happy. Their boards read like a contest to see who can create the most overwrought victimhood narrative, mixed in with a narcissistic attitude that they can somehow take their ball and go home from the CFP and upset the entire landscape of college football on their own.
They did not deserve to be in the CFP. Join a conference and play a better schedule. Also, it helps if you beat the strong opponents on your weak schedule. Having said all of that, I do think Miami should have been in over Alabama. Tulane was given a gift playing Ole Miss after what has transpired with Kiffin. These are just a few of my hot takes. Oh…and POTFBuckeyes.
I didn’t think the weekend could get any better when I went to bed last night.
And then Notre Dame got left out.
Freaking love it!
Hey ND assholes, join a conference and you'd have another avenue to the CFP. This is on you.
@kelly_32 In my personal "Who's the best team right now?" poll, the Irish are only behind IU, OSU, and Georgia (and maybe Tech).
That said, if you play stupid games by being an Independent and losing to the only truly good teams on your schedule (USC is not that good), you win stupid prizes like the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
Boo-fu**ing-hoo, South Bend.
Very enjoyable.
Like others have said, join a conference.

There’s really no question that ND is one of the 12 best teams in college football, but entry into the playoff isn’t really geared toward amassing the top 12. Their reality is governed by their refusal to join a conference. Until they do, they’re going to be vulnerable to exclusion from the tournament unless the rules are altered (expansion or qualifiers).

All they have to do is become a fulltime (all sports) member of the ACC. They’ll dominate and be in every year.
Can anyone here play this game?
Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue and USC should pay the buyouts and cancel their games with them next season.
I don't know. Miami beat them this year and couldn't even make the ACC championship game.and their fans are not happy. Why would they do that?
