Just wanted to share a cool moment. I was at the Indy convention center today for a conference. While there I had the pleasure of encountering Fernando. He was very nice and took pictures with anyone who asked. Just seems like a great person.

I have just seen snippets of interviews with Ponds, Louis Moore and Riley ( can’t spell his last name. They are all such great representatives of IU. It seems media is asking all of them for their best Cig stories and they are all good and funny. It still seems impossible that we ended up with this legend of a coach!

Whoever gets Ponds might very well get the steal of the draft. Kid is amazingly talented and tough as nails. Of course good ol Ballard will think he's too small. 🤬
Are most of our guys running at the combine? (Not Mendoza, nothing he does at the combine matters to where he is drafted. Unless he hits on a coaches wife there. Wait, the Raiders... NVM that.)
I hope Ponds waiting until pro day doesnt hurt him. Teams used to take pro day numbers with a big grain of salt.

I have been thinking that he could be like Brian Branch, but Branch is bigger. Branch only leaped 34.5 and ran 4.55 though. So I guess Ponds will be much more of a cover guy.
@openwheel I’ve seen people say they need more prep time given our season went so long.
I don’t know if that’s actually the reason, it’s just what I saw.
