Hoover doesn't have multiple years left like Raiola. There is zero chance he'd come here if Fernando was coming back. You don't get Raiola if you think there's a chance Moore is coming back. Oh wait...@gthomas He's not coming back...you don't get Hoover if there is an inkling of a chance Fernando comes back.
I actually agree with you, but just sayin'.

Raiola has multiple years eligibility left so there is a case to be made for sitting behind a QB at a program that has recently put multiple QBs into the NFL. Not saying it's common, but not crazy.
Moore transferred to Oregon knowing Gabriel would be the starter so VERY recent proof of concept.
Hoover has 1 year eligibility left so he has to find a place to start
@gthomas He's gone, and honestly for IU, that's not a bad thing. Leaving on an absolute high, and gonna be a top 2 pick? Put 2 consecutive QB's into the league after elevating their play, and had one of them win the Heisman! We want him to go and be successful for many, many years! I think he'll be great. We know no one is going to prepare like him and I think he'll never forget IU and will represent the program very well! One more win is the most we can hope for from Fernando!
@kkott - I am with you. Let's get Hoover and Alberto, Heismans and make them top NFL picks and IU Cignetti will be able to choose any QB he wants, year in and year out. He's practically there already. ha
@dht we also have no idea if Raiola is going to be ready to play this fall after his late season injury.
Not a big deal but Jah Jah Boyd committed to Colorado.

Going from the best coaching staff in the country to one of the worst.
Good luck Jah Jah Boyd. Appears Makhi Frazier is still out doing some team shopping. Along with his trip to IU, he's visited Ohio State, Florida, Auburn and on Sunday (January 18) was at Mississippi. Not sure what's his main priority. Development? Playing time? Biggest bag of cash? Etc.
@kelly_32 Makes you wonder if BuffedinPrime played a roll here. In the videos I've seen where he's on Sam's show, he's been openly critical of CO's recruiting and prep. Maybe in this case the pipeline flowed in the other direction? He also said CO has been much better in the portal this year.
Is my understanding of the portal correct, you just had to have your name in the portal by 1/16, but can sign with a program at anytime thereafter? And, the extra 5 day window for IU and Miami, is just 5 additional days that their players can enter the portal, but doesn't really have any impact on signing players?
Makhi Frazier to Mississippi
Frazier is going to find himself in a big battle for playing time at Ole Miss. The featured RB will be Kewan Lacy with his 1,567 yards on 306 carries. Ole Miss also added from the portal Joshua Dye from Southern Utah who rushed for over 1,800 yards in 2025. Frazier would also have found himself stiff competition at IU with Martin, Richard, and Beebe.
So is IU done adding players now? They only got 17 in this class.
