We do need another DT for a rotational option with Tucker/Landino.
@red-hornet I hope some of this can come from the underclassmen. Quite a few young dline guys waiting in the wings that can take some rotational snaps.
@red-hornet that is my thinking. Although, we are fortunate to have a couple talented DT recruits coming in.
@evillehoosier8 IU would certainly take both Hjelle and Gilliam. However, Gilliam is expected to commit to Tennessee. I do think IU would like to get another interior defensive lineman and if that's not Gilliam or Pitt transfer Brewu (IU hopes he visits but he might commit to Notre Dame before IU gets their chance), I'm sure they have another couple of targets to pursue.
Not to beat the drum on the big uglies again, but Coach mentioned a tough part of Oregon is handling their D-Line, and he went on about Oregons interior D-line guys being incredibly tough, their ends being incredibly tough, really good LB ... I couldn't help but think "that's why we want big OL news for next year!" LOL
Coach is scaring me for tomorrow night. 😮 Fun stuff though.

My personal wish list:
a LB; a RT; another RB (who is a great pass blocker, along with everything else); a C (unless the staff believes we already have the next great on on the roster); another DT (with the same caveat); and another S ((other the same caveat)
...; along with possibly another LB (the guy from Cal sounds interesting) ; and perhaps another long distance 55-65 yard Kicker and KO man...
Now..., I don't have any idea if we have that number of slots available or if we have interest in anything close to what I've listed, that's just my fantasy wish list...
I hear others also say another RB. I don't see it. We added two good ones in the Boston College guy and the Texas guy. We have promising young backs, and Beebe might be near 100% by next season. But that's unknown, never know if someone returning from injury can reach the same heights. But IMO we look good at RB. I see your other wishes, and they sound good to me too.
OW, the Texas RB is who I'm listing. I thought he was still in the just a "possibility" category... I have a feeling we'll run out of spots before we reach all of the positions I've listed... 🏈🇺🇸😎

Ahh, that sucks. But TY for the correction. I thought he was in the fold. I like his running but also like his frame to pick up blitzes, looks like a sturdy guy. And some Texas fan site lamented losing him, talking about high character and being a team guy when he announced for the portal.
