I am skeptical at best on things done by IU for IU when it comes to Game Day stuff

Same.  Hopefully this leads to improvement.

Optimistic about this. We need to shift things up on the in-game video experience. Excited to get college students in on this too. They know what's hot among the youths and can capitalize on that with tailored IU content. Nothing is ever perfect, but this could work out nicely in the long run.

I hope they can improve the in game replays on the video board. They were pretty much useless last year.

I honestly paid little attention to to the timeout antics and promos last year because the games became the focus.  That was what made the atmosphere.  The towels were the best addition.  A complete no-brainer.  They have to do that again this year.  That became an instant tradition at the games.  Nothing like it when that place was packed.  And what a good investment to get fans involved.  It costs very little to print those up in bulk,  I kept all the towels from the games and wrote the scores on them.
I couldn’t even tell you if they had the inflatable tire game or the kid stumbling around in the endzone with a football helmet on trying to catch the football fired from the ball machine.
This year, we get the mascot.  Should have plenty to keep fans engaged.
I would like to see IU adopt some kind of song tradition.  Not sure what that looks like but could be implemented quickly.
You look at what Wisconsin did with “Jump Around” or Virginia Tech did with “Enter Sandman.”  This songs are early 90s (1991-1992).  Now, they are listed as 2 of the top traditions in college football. The tradition doesn’t have to have started in 1902 to be relevant.

The towels were fantastic. I thought they landed on We Will Rock you as the song, but they went away from it.

The Wave at Iowa is a great tradition and it’s less than a decade old.

Will be interesting if they can get something going as a 4th quarter tradition.

So far nothing has really captured the student section/fans.  Something will though...

I still need one of those "Study Later" towels for the man cave if anyone has an extra one!

@big-red-cb-v-2-0 you are so spot on, the towels were an instant success and if kept up a signature tradition for IU football.

Towels with good creative design were a great idea.

@red-hornet you are right about the visual excitement that TV shows with all the towels waving .  Quite an impact.

We had lots of suggestions last year. Until we can think of something, I think we should just do the basketball 8 minute time out. I think we did used to do that at football also.

@zeke4ahs IU did use that at the end of the 3rd quarter for a couple years then dropped it. I liked it. I think they even used more flags on the football field. I would be happy to see it return but I’m sure there are people upset and believe it should be reserved for BB.
