Most Losses All Time

Correct me if I am wrong but is Northwestern at 713 losses all-time?  If so then with 2 more losses, they will tie Indiana at 715.   I think 713 is the right total but I don't know.

NW plays at USC this weekend then at home vs. Michigan.  One would surmise they will be at 715 with 2 games to go (Minny and at Illinois).   Odds are in our favor that we go to the B1G championship game no longer tied to the moniker as the losingest team in college football history.

Wikipedia says we are at 719 losses.  Either way we should be casting off that mantle soon.

@whatthefrik IU is at 714 according to the IU Record book. Winsipedia has IU at 715.

Eh, it might be disputed until next year or something.  No big deal.

@whatthefrik Nope, just pointing out the discrepancies in information. It'll be good to get off that list

Those losses are simply Old Testament to me now.

BC = Before Cignetti

AC = After Cignetti

We are living in the New Testament era.

This just adds to the Cig-lore.  I can just hear the announcers as he is hoisting the National Championship trophy...

@papaburgundy This is why he would be one of greatest coaches of all time...NOBODY could have done what he has done - take the  worst program in the history of college football and take them to a title.  Any coach could win at PSU, LSU, ND, Bama, etc.  Only the GREATEST could do it at IU.  And only the GREATEST would take on the challenge.
