Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

@drjb I'm not saying PU is a world beater, but when I saw them early vs ISU I really liked their RB and thought their QB is progressing. They at least look like they are building something unlike dumpster fires at UM, MD, Rutgers, PSU and IL. First coach to get let go: Loxley or Schiano?

I've got Purdue with only one more win.  But I also didn't have them beating Illinois.

No matter how the next two weeks go, for either team, our game in Ann Arbor will be a difficult one, I'm sure.  I would think they'll have moved on from Underwood as their starting QB... and if the next guy is a better thrower, that will make them more dangerous against us.  Even if it is Underwood, they have enough talent and athletes, to create a physical rock fight type of game.  Similar to the game at PSU last year.

Also, we'll be coming off our own version of "Game of the Century" in Bloomington.  I give Cig as much credit as any coach to make sure we get back up, no matter the result.  But human nature says that's going to be a challenge, even at the Big House.

Long winded way of saying, any win up there will be a good one.

Agree they’re improving, but from a baseline of being absolutely awful, so they’re still bad.

I assume they’ll keep getting better — their absolutely awful days won’t last forever.  It’ll be tough for them to break out of the bottom 1/3 and certainly bottom 1/2 of the conference though with their resources.

IU's longest win streak vs PU in football is 4 games.  Need at least 3 more.
