Good on Michigan State for playing hard. That was the most disappointing blowout of a Big Ten opponent I can think of.

The defense couldn’t seem to get off the field and MSU was able to grind out drives.  So many guys were wide open on critical plays.  So little pass rush, particularly early.

luckily, the IU passing game was absolutely clicking and kept efficient touchdown drives going. On the other hand, we didn’t seem to be running the ball well to a large degree for the greater portion of the game.

The biggest concern I’ve got is something Cig always talks about….putting bad things on tape.  I have concerns that we just put a bunch of weaknesses on tape, particularly on the defensive side.

on the positive side:  Omar continues to impress with how physical he is after the catch. Khobie Martin needs more touches, he’s relentless.  There was a pretty good crowd that returned after the weather delay. Like more than we’ve had at the start of Big Ten games in years past.

Our defense played their C+ game today in the first half.  2nd half, we improved dramatically, held them to 3 meaningless points at the end with 2nd stringers mixed in.
still won by 25.  That is still pretty impressive.  We’ve struggled all sseason defending pass plays down the middle, so that’s a weakness.
