Alberto has looked good in limited opportunities. It seems he may be the QB of the future? Getting a chance to learn first hand from his big brother.

Ah yes. You must mean the Jonas Brothers. 
If Alberto can be good enough — perfect, QB issue solved and we don’t have to take a portal risk.
All I know is I don’t want to see the other Mendoza for now unless it’s a blowout! I’m sure he will probably see the 2nd half of the Bucket game!

Tell me if I've misunderstood, but the talk about Alberto being our future QB#1 might be premature, if I've heard right:
- Fernando has one more year of eligibility.
- If you're not projected to be a first rounder, from strictly a $$$ perspective he'd be better off staying another year in college (assumes a good but not a Heisman type season).
- Alberto has said if Fernando comes back next year he (Alberto) will look at transferring somewhere where he'll be the starter.

Same here. I'm sure I've typed Menendez in chat (although those morons haven't caught it).
I fully expect Fernando to be in the NFL next year and for Alberto to be QB1 for the Hoosiers.

I'd be fine with Alberto getting the job, just not certain there will be an opening.
@unclemark I agree with this. Fernando could come back if the money is good enough. Beck did although to a different school. Who knows?
Im betting even if Fernando returns, theyll find a way to keep Alberto, even though he said this year only, if Fernando stays. He's a redshirt Freshman. He could start two years after next year.
Funny how short Alberto looks compared to Fernando. Yet listed as 6-2, which is not short. Fernando listed as 6-5.
