Another one bites the dust…

I could see him at Penn State.
Aww... Poor guy.
I would find it hilarious to see Marcus Freeman leave for LSU.
@yothn He won't. Why leave Notre Dame, God's gift to football
@thehoosierhuddle - LSU is in the same neighborhood as Georgia, Alabama, OSU, Texas and Michigan jobs. Texas A&M, ND, Penn State, Florida, USC, Tennessee, Oregon and Oklahoma (maybe Clemson more recently) are in that next tier, just because of the talent rich states those schools are in. There's a reason those top tier schools are where all the titles come from.
It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
The trend anymore is to fire coaches mid-season. It’s a culmination of the social media presence, everyone with a platform or podcast to call for a coach’s head and then fan frenzy.
Seems like this year there have been more mid-season firings than any I can recall.
A lot of big openings this year.
The Texas A&M beatdown was just the nail in the coffin.
The Cig effect.
This is enjoyable.
Freeman is apparently a top target for LSU, I will be rooting for that outcome
@big-red-cb-v-2-0 - What's crazy is who do they all think they will hire? It's one thing if they have someone in mind, and maybe they all do. But is it worth paying $50 mil buyouts to then just bring in a re-tread? Either way, those payments certainly can't help their NIL budgets.
I wonder how many of the teams were thinking they could make a run for Coach Cig. Still might. I agree that Kelly could end up at Penn St. A little more tolerant of championshipless seasons.
@auburnhoosier I sent this clip to our staff group text last night. I can imagine it is very similar to how AD's are thinking about Cig and IU

Good luck to LSU and I hope it happens.
My guess is he would only move for OSU.
