When the preseason AP Top 25 poll dropped Monday, it confirmed that INDIANA FB is nearing one of its most promising seasons in program history.
The Hoosiers will enter the 2025 campaign ranked #20, marking just the 4th time they've been ranked in the preseason & the first since 2021, when they started the year at #17. Before 2021, INDIANA hadn't been part of the preseason ranking since 1969!
The Hoosiers will play #12 Illinois on Sept. 20, at home, #7 Oregon on Oct 11 away, & #2 PSU on Nov.8 away. The Hoosiers are also slated to play #44 Iowa on Sept 27 away.
With the addition of the west coast teams, we no longer play 5 top 15 teams every year…..remember playing OSU, MIch, Penn St, Iowa , Wisky and Mich St seemingly every yr……….some national pundits have criticized our weak non-con schedule but where were they when we were getting our heads kicked in with the aforementioned schedule? Don’t remember anyone saying”Well, look at the teams IU had to play. Give them a bowl game even though they have a losing record “ Don’t see anything wrong with exacting some revenge on landscape of CFB
Go get’’em boys!
