@olympian97 I don't think the replacement for Ponds will be a CB, it's that defensive line and DEs and the pressure they'll bring on opposing QBs. Ponds was generational, but they'll just skin the cat a different way this year! Can't wait to see it!
What a dumb take. Completely ignores the fact both of these guys were injured and didn’t finish the season. I’m pretty sure at least one of them would be in an NFL training camp right now if that hadn’t happened

Its such fine line. If the players weren't great, no one would care. They played great enough for the first time to get a look from the NFL scouts. But NFL teams want more than a half season of greatness and surely wouldn't take a gamble and draft someone injured with half a season of tape. Combine that with IU winning the title, it's just a weird confluence of events that make their return stand out. If just one of those things weren't part of the equation, either they would've been drafted or the nation wouldn't care that they returned.
@olympian97 - I agree. TE, DB and QB are the only 3 spots I feel like there is the most unknowns. But I feel incredibly confident in Hoover and as Sammy alluded to, coach is talking up Gandy. I am in the camp that AJ Harris has a lot of high-level tools and with a great scheme, he could genuinely stand out as an all-conference type of DB. That is just my personal opinion though.
