And this includes the basketball championships because this football program was on life support!  Seemed completely improbable.  Beat our nemesis.  Silence there terrible fanbase and win the conference!  Doesn’t get any better than this!

You know it!

I remember on the old rivals board coaching search thread some posters upset when Coach said at the hire and basketball game - Purdue sucks! And so does Michigan and Ohio State!

Their point being why give looker room material to the powerhouses we couldnt compete with. Most of us fans loved it though.

Cig said all the right stuff on sustaining too, this week. Said we are closing the gap, but more to do.

@openwheel Like he said, he had to change the whole world view of the program. That takes some shock treatment.

@bradstevens it's wild that Indiana Football is three games away from an undefeated season and a national championship. Regardless if they get there or not, just sitting in this position is something no one would have believed just two years ago. It's wild. I'd love to see them bring it all home.

I still vividly remember how I felt when the Colts won the superbowl and last night was better. I can’t even imagine what I’ll be feeling if, no “when”, IU wins the NC.

I just talked to a couple of life-long friends who were at the game. Both said they, and everyone around them, cried for about 5-10 minutes straight in the stands at the end. Also said it was the loudest football game they'd ever been to.

Now this might be an unpopular take, but all three of us agreed: we don't even care right now about a National Title. We did it. We're legit. No one can doubt us. For most of my life, this season would earn IU a spot in the Rose Bowl against a PAC patsy, and a win would guarantee us the title. Now, in this age of the playoff, it's so much harder.  Who knows what will happen?  But we're elite. We went undefeated in the B1G. We beat two top 5 teams in the final polls, neither at home.

I keep saying this stuff out loud and typing it, and I still can't believe it's actually true. Very reminiscent, for me, of when the Cubs won the World Series in 2016 (that happened right?).  Maybe we are living in a simulation?

Its unbelievable.  I remember sitting in a parking lot in the car listening to Don on the radio as the 1988 Hoosiers pulled off the big win over OSU.  But back then, it seemed like Bill Mallory was going to compete for titles every year.  Then came over 35 more years of misery....(thanks Antwaan for a few years where losing was still 'must see').

I couldn't take it, I was calling for a switch the MAC conference.

And now this.  I was at the game when Cig came out on mic and of course we were all laughing at his boldness, but as Don Fischer said earlier this week, "he said what he was going to do, and he is doing it"

Its unbelievable.

I wanted this one too.Wasnt caring about CFP yet, seeding or anything.

Indiana is the B1g Ten Champion! Hang the banner!

To me, the CFP then is its own tournament. Want that one too. But we are already the league champion for 2025. Very cool.

We are the undefeated B1G Champions. That's good enough for me. The playoffs are like another season. We already won one season.
