In two years, he's without a doubt the best football coach we've ever had.
My god, the turnaround. I can't believe that just happened. We won, and will have a #1 next to our names.
Build the statue, rename the stadium, give him the key to the city of Bloomington, make Cig flippin governor of Indiana for all I care!
Naw, let the man stay humble and hungry.

What a game. What a team. What a coach. 3 more.

When he retires I’d love for him to take some kind of role in the athletic dept. Senior Advisor is something like that.
Since they renamed the field after Merchants Bank it seems like we will have to make an adjustment to “the rock”. Maybe “Cignetti’s Rock”? Idk, but he is definitely going to be recognized in some way forever. Greatest coach not only in iufb history, but may be the best coach in all of history. Boy, you have to give credit to our assistants too though. Bryant Haines is masterful and just a genius at his craft. He will be sorely missed whenever he decides to move on.

There is no doubt that what Cignetti has done at IU is historic and probably one of the all-time great turnaround jobs. He's going to have to bring in at least a few national titles to be anointed best coach in all of history though.

Leave the rock alone.
Should be cignetti stadium
statue of cig and Mendoza to celebrate our first Heisman
@boogie I’m not talking about the rock itself. I’d never suggest changing the name from “Hep’s rock”. I was referring to the stadium name. If we are going to put Cig’s name on something to honor him at some point we will have to make some tough decisions as there is going to be historic significance to any change that’s made. If you change it from “The Rock at Memorial Stadium” to “The Rock at Cignetti Stadium” there will be just as many people upset about changing it from Memorial Stadium. I will let the administration handle that decision. Lol

Yep, I saw that too. No one is going to rank Cignetti as the greatest coach of all time without national titles.
Thsts not taking anything away from Cignetti.
Indiana started playing football in 1887. Cig is already the most decorated coach in program history. Unreal.
I'm not thrilled that Dolson got walked all over by the dipshit duo of Buckner and Bigfoot--and I think DeVries is an uninspired hire--but he brought Cig to Bloomington. In my eyes, that gives Dolson unlimited equity with Hoosier Nation. Even if SD's next basketball hire is Jack the Ripper, he'd still be at or near the top of the AD Top 25.
