The #6 Ducks win so now we’ll be playing a top 3? team, with #4 LSU and #5 Georgia both losing. PSU won’t fall far. #8 Florida State lost as well. Biggest question: will the Hoosiers get any respect for a road win vs a non-ranked opponent?
@mohoosier Oregon will move up to 3. Gonna be hard for IU to move up much, if at all. PSU (3) lost at home to number 6, in OT, they’ll drop a little but doubt out of top 10. LSU (4) lost a close game at 13…they’ll also drop a little, but not much. Georgia (5) lost at home to 17. They might drop to 10 or so. Maybe IU 9 or so.
@iunorth I think LSU drops further since their best two wins are eh

there are over a hundred articles/snippets on the espn ncaa football home page
no mention of our game.....
LSU at #4 was ridiculous.

Looking further at it, I don’t see anyone moving out of the top 10 except maybe FSU, losing to an unranked Virginia? Like you said, the ones that lost, did so vs ranked teams. All the others had a bye week. I predict IU moves up to #10.
I could also see #22 ND jumping us into that position after their impressive win over unranked Arkansas 😉
it’s gonna be interesting. Hard to see the teams that didn’t play making big jumps? A&M all the way up to 4? Oklahoma up to 5? And if they jump, do Texas Tech and Texas also jump from not playing? Will they skyrocket Ole Miss up to 4? That would be the most SEC slobbering move I’ve seen in a while.
The only thing that’s certain, I would think, is Oregon jumping up to 2 or 3. And FSU dropping out of top 10.
For us…Illinois beating USC and us beating Iowa at Kinnick, on their homecoming, SHOULD amplify last weeks historic beat down. IU should make a big jump up close to top 5. They won’t. Ole Miss will for beating an obviously overrated LSU team at home in a close game.
@iunorth I think IU is in the top 10. I would think LSU plummets, so does FSU a little bit. Penn State probably doesn't get dinged too badly and Oregon may move to #2. We'll see at 2pm
Half time thoughts:
The Hoosiers need to be more aggressive. They need to change the snap count as well.
Why do they have issues with this? As much knowledge Cig and staff have, can’t they fix it?
They went with it all game. They can do other types of silent counts like maybe delay the snap or alternate it (Think a slide step in pitching to control baserunners or holding it an extra second).
I don't think they use the hand holding method anymore in football. Maybe the go to the way Allen's QBs did snaps and have the QB flash his hand.
It was very obvious when IU was going to snap.
$43M buyout for Brian Kelly next year. LSU might pay that, but that’s a big number.
I’d guess we are 9th in the new polls.
