Yeah, the doom and gloomers I see here I believe are doing that.A lot of people are in a rush to label this team, so they can claim they called it early. It's not an exclusively IU issue either, it's what sports has become. It doesn't make you a hater. It's what this space has become.
But, opinions make horse races. A part of the fun.
I'm not sure how anybody could look at this team and not see a hell of one. Could we get our butts kicked a few times? Sure.
I think we're more likely to win the tough ones though. But odds tell me we will lose one tough one and an unexpected one, so far under Cig though, take care of bid'ness especially the 'supposed to' wins.
I think our offense will have more firepower for games like last years Penn State. We pulled it out but did nothing several series.

I don't think someone who thinks we will lose 4 games is unhinged. It's a possibility, I don't think it's a large possibility but it is. If some of the things aren't addressed .. and are still glaring after 3 games against inferior opponents, then we could lose to Washington, Ohio st , USC etc. I doubt it but ..
do we have talent for sure, will we compete with just about anyone, yes we will, but those issues that exist aren't going to completely be resolved due to the fact that the guys we lost were just that good. Mendoza was lights out ... I don't see Hoover getting there.

yeah I agree that's a bit of a stretch. He's good, he's just not as good as Mendoza... not a lot are...
that all said I'm still thinking 10-2. And a playoff birth. Likely hosting a round 1 game.
@hoosiers94 That was my preseason prediction as well. Nobody in the Big Ten (and CFB) looks unbeatable yet either. Everyone has their issues.
