People commented Michalski missing an early block in the freeloader chat. And he had a hold or two late. But maybe tired.
I thought he played well, and gelled with the line fairly early. We ran the ball really, really well his side.
That said. Man... heal up Evans!

@hoosiers94 Evans limped through the entire UCLA game. I was shocked that he played so long. I wasn’t surprised to see that he missed the game today.
As long as he is back by Ohio state we should be fine. I was really down on Zen after seeing all his missed blocks, but I also realize guard isn’t his normal position. So, maybe a bit of a learning curve for him? I would have thought they would move Benson inside since he has experience playing there, but I trust this staff knows what they’re doing. This was a great opportunity to get Zen those reps and an opportunity to review his film to correct mistakes. Hopefully he looks a lot better next week.
yeah, going from right tackle to left guard is a major difference. Guard responsibilities are a lot different and everything is the opposite way that you have been practicing. Give the kid some time. @walt542 Mike Katic mentioned that the draw play that was stuffed from 2 players that blitzed his gap was not Zen’s fault. So, I stand corrected on that one. He still had some bad penalties, but I agree they can get it cleaned up. Better to do those things in a game we control easily than a dog fight. Maybe he just had some jitters from not playing a lot.
