@unclemark No room there.
Put them down on the practice field. NEZ towering behind.

@unclemark Game Day will be over 3 1/2 hours before the game though. If it was a noon game, I like it at stadium, but since it’s a later game, I like fountain. Trees are peak now, and it should look beautiful on tv. I hope they show some fountain celebrations too. Maybe I’ll be on Game Day again! 😎
I would have thought about putting it at the 10th St. Arboritum with the Clarion and rolling meadows in the background. Much closer to the stadium as well.
Enjoy it before McAfee takes off his shirt and dives in, forever staining it.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

I'm not a McAfee hater per se, though I've been critical of him in the past but also appreciate his generosity, enthusiasm for Cig and IU and the empire he's built has been damned impressive.
But holy hell did he overreact to the stuff in Utah last week! Charlie Kirk?!? Because some kids said he'd say something corny and told him to keep his shirt on?!? There's gotta be more to the story, but I don't know what it is. Maybe he just hated being in the sober state of Utah two weeks in a row???
No doubt, what a maroon. And I like him OK in general and appreciate him pumping IU .
But Utah specifically put that out there to have FUN with him coming to town! It'd be as if Indiana told everybody to wear Lee Corso masks or something if he was here.
Dude took a lighthearted thing and wondered if he should be scared. Ridiculous, LOL .
I appreciate Pat’s support of IU and other Indiana stuff. His schtick isn’t my thing but that’s fine I just don’t watch.
However, Pat is getting over saturated. And the Utah stuff it seemed like was pretty light joking/impersonations he should be able to handle that or lean into it. Nothing was threatening. I guess he was mad Utah the university put out the video, but who cares really. There was no safety concern.
@tammany His schtick, which has become a lot of people's schtick, has grown old quickly. His is on everything right now, too. Sometimes there can be too much of one thing

I don't have any idea what taking his shirt off is supposed to do. Maybe once is fine, but that can't be an every game stunt.
@thehoosierhuddle Agree.
The other issue that I think comes up is when you’re pumping out that much content — 15 hours of his main show during the week, then GameDay, plus some podcasts, and now Monday Night Countdown, is you can’t really do much prep for those shows. Or watch the sports you cover. As a result the analysis gets shallow and the interviews are less interesting.
I guess it gets ratings and ESPN is happy. I don’t really get it.
@tammany Yeah and he openly said he didn't know much about two G6 teams during the show last week or two weeks ago. The product becomes very surface-level, and sports fans are worse off for it.

You are right. I was in a noon game mindset the whole time I was shouting at the sky.
Nevermind.
