Someone tell me this isn't real. Would be a huge loss on the defense.

@pazhoosier Online its floating around that its a torn patellar tendon. Hopefully thats fake news, but it looks like next man up.
No one knows how/when the injury happened, but it did happen. It stinks to say the least for him and the program. But, we can still win it all.
@tammany That looks/sounds fake as a $3 bill. Cig said in the follow up PC that there were no injuries they expected to be an issue and he's been pretty straight up on injuries. I'm holding out hope it's fake until I hear something from someone credible. Sammy, Osterman.... the school.
@kkott Up to you. The video of him limping and leaving the field on a cart would suggest there is credibility to the rumors. As much as I wish it wasn't so.
I'm totally crushed today. But again, our odds in the playoff haven't changed too much, so there's that.
What Cig said was there were no injuries during the game. I think it’s real, sadly. Talk radio was discussing it this afternoon. Sucks.
@tammany I haven't seen the video you're referencing of him limping and leaving the field in a cart, but the video above looks/sounds totally fake. I hear what you're saying Zeke, but again, I haven't seen or heard Cig be coy about injuries, very straightforward and with not playing for 3 weeks, there's not going to be any hiding it. If Daley was hurt afterwards, I think Cig would have said, no injuries during game, but Daley was injured in the celebration and we're evaluating. Again, bizarre to me that talk radio is discussing it, and nothing from any beat reporters? Might be true and will be damaging if it is, because he's been terrific.
I think for some reason they’ve been told to keep it quiet or they have to wait until it’s official. Sammy closed the other thread speculating on this.

I can't imagine it helps the team by the public making noise about it early when IU truly isn't required to report it until we are a week out from the game. So it was likely in our best interest to pipe it but naturally, that can be hard to do.

Hard to do when Barstool posts video of it.

There's video of him jumping up to high five fans in the stands after the game and him landing and when he lands, his right leg immediately lifts in the air like he knew something bad happened.
It doesnt hurt the team either.I can't imagine it helps the team by the public making noise about it early when IU truly isn't required to report it until we are a week out from the game. So it was likely in our best interest to pipe it but naturally, that can be hard to do.
The school needs to follow medical privacy rules and NCAA rules (toward privacy, gambling, whatever.) And Hoosier Huddle needs to try to stay on the good side of the school, for access. If HH reported something the school wasnt authorized to say yet, theyd get the door shut in their face. Of course thats only if HH heard it from sources.
But thats not any of the rest of us. And HH didnt take the pic of him on the hauler or the jump video I assume.
