I think Minny has a huge game vs Iowa the week before.
Spot the damn ball I'm ready for more IUFB!
I need a mental break. 😂
I am 100% there with you on that! We were on such a flawless roll that I just wanted to get to the finish line, stat! Now the book on that season is finally closed, there is NOTHING anyone can say or do and there is nothing that will ever modify the greatness of that season. But emotionally, I am exhausted. For the next 7 months, no one can overtake us as the kings of college football. We get to relax and bask in that glory.
Every year when the schedule comes out, I assume we've been screwed. Years of being fodder for the east division.
So while it doesn't look too bad, I'm going with my default. I don't like it. (But this time I don't know why.)
I hated last season's, because it seemed like our bye schedule was going to let us get beat up and who cares about a bye shortly before Purdue? But it worked out, but with the 2nd late bye and Purdue and then the title game, it gave a chance at recovery for that big game. Then the several weeks off really let us get healthy. It worked great obviously.

@yothn Yeah, I agree with you. I need some time to cool the engines and get back to what I love doing (prepping for the next thing)
My wonder is, which week will they put Homecoming on? The last few years, it's been around October 18. That's Ohio State this year. Does IU stick with that weekend or try to do Homecoming on more of a gimme-game weekend, rather than the marquee game of the home schedule? As an Alumni Band member, I hope they keep it Ohio.
@lonestarhoosier1 odds are OSU and you’re line of thinking is correct. However, if I were IU I’d choose the Northwestern game
@thehoosierhuddle - I say we just hold off and make homecoming, senior night and our national title celebration the Purdue game.
9-3? That’s a self imposed limitation. 16-0.Good chance Nebraska is unbeaten when we go there October 10. Oddly enough, Ohio State COULD have two losses before they come to Bloomington (at Texas and at Iowa). I'll go conservative and say they only lose 1 of those.
I expect the Halloween game vs Minnesota to be a real test. 8th straight game, coming off of games @ Neb, vs. OSU, @Mich and right before our bye.
I'm saying we go 10-2 or 9-3.
