Pat and co. absolutely cooked him.
Haha, hell yea Pat!
when did OSU have 13 points in the big ten championship game when they only had 10 the whole game? We were never down 13-6. In fact, we were up 13-10 going in to the 4th quarter (we weren't down) because no one scored in the 4th quarter.
Maybe Dan should get his facts straight before spouting off. Of course, it wasn't 38-0 vs Alabama either.
Geez. He wants to cherry pick moments. He clearly did not watch IU at all this season has no idea what Fernando meant to the team and looks at the box score. Sure, Fernando didn't throw for 200 yards against Alabama or OSU or Miami, but he made plays.
I really like Pat but always thought he laid the Oscar winning performances on a little thick. But he is no clown show and never will be as DO owns all the face paint, clown suits and floppy shoes. Go Pat!

Pat has no issue talking over people and enjoys the sound of his own voice. But he is often hilarious and his opinions usually make sense. No doubt a homer for IU which is awesome given all the homers that bet against us all year....except Pat ended up being right every time....16-0
People are quick to point out Dan and Ty are both represented by CAA.
🤔 hmm…
A co-worker stopped by today and was pumped he will get Mendoza with the 2nd pick of their fantasy draft (traded last year for the first of a team that stunk) because the worst team has all garbage at RB and is taking Love.
But then he told me Mendozas arm was average and he would be 4th or 5th in some recent drafts. Ive been hearing that elsewhere. I told him whoever is saying Mendoza has only an average NFL arm is wrong, that he can move it out there when he wants. He said - I watched a lot of his highlights over the weekend and compared to, blah blah many recent QBs.
I just watched 6-7 minutes of Simpson and Mendoza highlights. Ty is good, really good. I think he was worn out or banged up at the end. But if any NFL scout can show me a gnats difference in velocity Id be surprised. I give the edge in throws on the move to Simpson, maybe, but to Mendoza from the pocket. Both zip it, and as deep as you want. But Simpson is shorter will he play as well from a pocket? He looks tough enough, but how will he hold up?
The highlight review convinced this homer, that Ty is better than I realized, but that Mendoza is the number one pick for reasons.

All I can tell you is that on my Google News feed, Simpson comes up over and over and over. He's generating a lot of clicks for someone (but not from me). The ESPN/SEC sports news monolith is hard for anyone else to break into.
@openwheel Dan needs to watch the throw to EJ Williams at Iowa or the throw to Sarratt against MSU. Mendoza has a great arm.

His trolling in the Georgia-Alabama pre-game was the best thing, ever.

That was pathetic. He might as well have a "Dumbass" stamp on his forehead.

Simpson looked very good in the first 1/2 of the season. I thought then that he was going to win the Heisman. But I would be very concerned about how he played in the 2nd half of the season, and about how he led that Bama team down the stretch, were I an NFL scout/coach. You see this so often in NFL draft scenarios where people get locked onto a certain player and make dumb decisions because they think they're smarter than the next guy.

To be fair, CAA represents a shit ton of people in both sports and media. But Dan looked like a clown yesterday with his 'what big games?' BS. I think it's fine to think Simpson might be better than Fernando as a pro. Maybe he will be. But don't come at us with "FACTUAL INFORMATION" that isn't factual at all.
