Finebaum grudgingly gave IU credit but said the job is still a bad one and Cignetti will leave. First off, the job isn’t bad now given the amount of money the school is pumping into the program. Second, Cignetti said last year that IU was the emerging superpower in college football so why would he leave? Maybe he changes his mind but no one knows for sure.

Who cares what Finebaum thinks. He knows nothing and is just an entertainer.
Not only 6-0 but 6-0 with the best resume in football. Only Alabama comes close, but they have that ugly 2 loss score to what appears to be a not good FSU team.
I cant see Cig letting the team get complacent, but we have a lot of sleepy games the rest of the regular season. Cant fall asleep at the wheel with how UCLA is playing, a cornered PSU team on the road, or a Maryland team that looks better than their W/L column.
Cig likes our AD and President. People forget about the relationship factor in these decisions. IU is finally reaping the reward of everyone in the facility being on the same page. That’s never happened at IU and one could argue even knight fought this for many years. Cig is a smart/intelligent guy. I think he likes it here.

There's a lot more than money when it comes to job satisfaction, especially when you already make more than any one person should. He's not going anywhere.

While I've seen nothing in nearly 2 years that makes me think a Cig team sleepwalks through a trap game, I did mention to my tailgating buddies that I'm glad we play MSU instead of UCLA this week. Although Aiden Chiles is talented and Nick Marsh is really good, we can have a little bit of a letdown vs the Spartans and still be fine.
@gros-louis almost hope we do a little bit. Have to grind out a 10-15 point win because the fellas aren’t razor sharp. That’ll give Cig all the ammo he needs to get them ready for UCLA, and then PSU and Maryland…all very loseable games if they’re not dialed in.
@iunorth you are correct that these are all tough games but there is nothing I have seen from Cig that lets me think this team will not be absolutely ready for each one of them.

I won't be nervous about Penn State until I see how they look vs Iowa and Ohio State. My guess is that their will is going to be broken by the time we get there.
