Some thoughts--
--Looking at the top 25 (AP), SEC has 10 teams to the BIG's 6. I think most of the BIG teams 'lost' v. the spread. OSU, PSU and Oregon looked as advertised. Illinois won big, but W. Illinois is so bad it didn't mean anything. Maybe the only teams other than OSU that looked better than expected were Maryland, Purdue, and USC. Certain other teams like Washington, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Wisconsin weren't bad but didn't look as good as we expect IU and Illinois will be. Maybe USC showed the most upside of the wannabes. NW really looked the part of a #18 team.
--Even with the losses by TX and Alabama, the SEC looks pretty legit. I thought LSU, GA, S. Carolina & Tennessee all looked better than expected. I'm a BK hater, but that LSU D looked pretty damn good.
--Not ready for prime time---Clemson; Bama; TX; Arch. Looked pretty damn good--LSU; Utah. What's that about??--ASU at #s 10 & 12 in the polls.
