Cignetti isn’t leaving. He has the #2 team in the country, is being paid incredibly well, recruiting is improving, likes the people he reports to, has complete control over the entire program, and I’m sure NIL will increase as well.

@hoosierdaddy Kelly left for LSU partly because ND was not happy with him after the tragedy. I think he wanted to get a new start.

@hoosierific Notre Dame is not a better job than LSU, the proof was Kelly leaving for LSU.

Notre Dame is a highly overrated job. They arent as strict on academics for HS prospects anymore but they are still a drag on bringing in transfer students. ND is a bubble top 10 job IMO

Ha, and look how that turned out for him .  ND was glad to get rid of Kelly, better now he is gone. I would say LSU was a premier football school years ago, but not now and even then not top 3. Just my opinion.

Also, LSU just fired their AD.  Ironically, they now owe him a $6.4M buyout.

The Governor saying that the AD wouldn't be hiring the next coach makes sense now.

@hoosierific Saban won at LSU first and the guy after him won and the guy after that guy won…LSU is the better job than both UGA and Bama. It’s Ohio State, Texas and LSU in some order.

Texas???

TX has infinite money, an appealing place to play, and it’s in the middle of a ton of talent.

Interesting how much they’ve struggled since the mid-2000’s.

Wonder how they like Texas Tech eating their lunch?

I think that the only job Freeman may hold out for is OSU. But, you cannot lose a game there or you are on an immediate hot seat.

Gotta think Hugh is done today or sometime before the next game.

This is very funny.

I think Dabo survives at Clemson, although I’m not sure he wants to. His buyout is massive.

Yea I don’t think they’re gonna axe Dabo with that buyout and crowded coach market.

Probably smart.  He’s done well there let him try and fix it first.

Sounds like Maryland may open today or tomorrow.

They sure had an interesting way of showing they weren’t happy with him. He was there for 10 years after it happened
