Boy has Cig made things happen at IU

First - outstanding content continues to poor in behind the pay wall by our Hoosier Huddle hosts.

HH public service message: - I'd encourage Indiana fans who enjoy the free chat boards (all boards free) to join Hoosier Huddle.  Helps these guys keep the lights on.  For what they charge they're not looking for fractional jet ownership anytime soon.  😎

Now to Cig, my hero.

I have to pinch myself.  I'm a class of 84 grad.  Five for the Rose Bowl, which wasn't a memory although both parents held IU degrees.  We've not been good for most of my adult life as many here have experienced.

Now comes Cig, kicks ass and takes names from day one.

Backs it up with an 11-2 season with many memorable wins and playoff berth.

Reloads with what could be argued as improved talent in many spots.

Starts recruiting HS talent at a competitive level.

Looking like a preseason top 20 ranking.

This is the IU football program I knew we could have but never expected to see in my lifetime.

Thanks to all here for making this place fun.

Can't wait to kick it off.  Headed up for Indiana State.  Excited.  Go Hoosiers!

We have to go out and do it, but I never thought we would be in this position going into a season.  This really doesn’t appear to be like Tom Allen’s little run for obvious reasons.

Hear, Hear.  Or is it Here, Here.  Whichever, very well said.

Gone are the days of a defense so bad they started 10-15 yards off the receiver. My Dad said,”are they in a prevent D?” Why yes dad…yes they are. Cig is killing it.

Kudos MobileHoosier!

All my life I wondered why a good coach couldn't come in and win at Indiana. Seemed like a great place with a lot of advantages. I felt we could win as big as places like Iowa, or lower, at least more than Purdue.

Was told it was mindset, lack of support from the school, lack of money, not a football school, no highway access, and more.

Maybe it was all of those but finally some support and money got a guy with the right mindset. And he changed the culture. In a hurry!

The fan and alumni support is great to see.

@openwheel and now we even have the highway! Come on down Indy! There are wondrous things happening in Bloomington on fall Saturdays.

The complaints about the highway were just an excuse. No one had a problem driving down for basketball games.

True that’s a terrible excuse.

I didn't mean to open old wounds about the past excuses. Smile

@mobilehoosier As a fellow IU alum (1990) and also one in southern Alabama, I couldn't have said it better. Season ticket holder and will make 6 (hopefully 7) of the home games. I was a student during some of the prime Mallory years and always knew we could have the same kind of success as those years. Let's hope Cig continues to exceed my expectations.
