Big Ten tiebreakers

It's likely way too early to even try this, but in order to get back to the (last) B1G Championship game, not only are we going to need to run the table, but we need some teams to lose. The next tiebreaker is records vs common opponents (I'll add that # in parentheses where appropriate).

Ohio State, without Sayin, can't run the table IMO, but I could see them only losing one, in which case they have the tiebreaker over us (H2H).

UCLA (4) would need to lose at least one, preferably to USC (if they only lose one).  The schedule ain't hard, but finishing up at Michigan and vs USC will be challenging. At Minny could be sneaky too. We're likely USC fans in this game.

USC. If we win out, we beat them, so we'd be ahead of them.

Iowa (7). Hard to see them running the table from here, so if we do run it, they're a game behind us.

Northwestern(3) will not run the table, so they're behind us if we run it.

Minnesota, we beat them in this scenario. btw, not sure that's an easy game.

Oregon(6). Don't look now, but if they get Moore back (no idea?) there's a CHANCE they run the table with OSU not having Sayin. If they beat OSU and don't lose, they own the tiebreaker over us.

Wisky(4) seems a real longshot to win out, though the schedule ain't that hard, but a H2H tie with them would take us DEEP into the tiebreakers.

Those are all of the current 0/1 loss B1G teams.  Not crazy to think the 2nd place B1G team couldn't have 2 losses and for there to be multiple teams in that position, in which case the tiebreakers will be a poop show.

@gros-louis People are sleeping on UCLA. A travesty they play one of: IU/OSU/OR/IA, and a down OR team at that. NB, NW play all 4 of those teams. I know they won't because it generates $$, but just add a 10th conference game and do away with the B10 championship. 9 more conference games will produce more revenue than the championship and give the leagues best teams an extra week of rest for the CFP.

PS, I'm not sure what NB did to anger the CF Gods, but they need to have a seance, healing dance or exorcism all at once. What a heartbreaker @ OR.

Well, the championship game is going away anyway, so...

Nebraska fired Frank Solich for this:

They can lose until the end of time, for all I care.  And frankly, I rather enjoy seeing them lose and was just sorry I wasn't awake to see it Sunday morning.

@gros-louis I woke up at like 2:30 to go to the bathroom and while checking the score realized there were still 40 seconds left and OR had the ball at NB's 4. Tuned in in time to see Raiola, who apparently had been benched for the 3rd stringer, come in and drill his former team with the game winning TD.

Good thing Nebraska locked down their coach for the long term.

For us.
