Pardon me if there’s a thread already discussing this topic and please direct me there.

Obviously the best way to make the game is by handling our business.  However if there were three one loss teams (Oregon, IU, Michigan), how might that shake out?

Im assuming we have to beat Oregon to win that tiebreaker.  Even if we lost to Penn State they would have two losses.  But what about Michigan?  Assume they only lose to OSU.  Then what?  I’m also assuming OSU can win the rest of their games….

Hope I laid out these scenarios…correctly.

There are a set of tie-breaker scenarios.  H2h is the first one, then the highest winning % against common conf opponents is the 2nd one.

It keeps going but that is how it starts to shake out. If OSU didn't lose to UM last year, there would've been a 3-way tie between PSU, OSU and IU.  We were going to lose that tie breaker regardless, but it was close to this scenario.

a six-step process that begins with head-to-head results among tied teams, followed by their record against all common conference opponents. If still tied, the criteria continue with their record against common opponents with the best conference record, then the best cumulative conference winning percentage of all conference opponents, the highest SportSource Analytics ranking, and finally, a random draw conducted by the commissioner.

This is what I found

@thehoosierhuddle depending how things start to shake up, these rules/scenarios may need a pin for reference.

How many people would trust a random draw by the commissioner?
