@tammany Illinois defense is overrated. They gave up 49 to Purdue, 24 to Nebraska and 31 to Rutgers.  Lost to Minnesota at home. How much better did they get? I’m not buying the hype.

@d-b-cooper You could be right.  Perhaps folks are putting too much weight on that South Carolina game.   Spot checking some stats -- they were 68th in total defense and 62nd in defensive efficiency last year.  That surprised me, I would have guessed they were much better...
