Yea, lots of repeats.  Some little nuggets in there are he said we’re top third in resources in the conference (great!) and a stadium expansion is coming at some point.

Another great interview. He really has his process down. I’m sure most every coach in the country is taking notes on each of his talking points. If I were a coach I would be studying each one of his points and measuring myself and my staff against each one of those trying to find points of improvement possibilities. Is Cig giving away the secret sauce with those points or are they just Nick Saban points that anyone could have gotten before? I do not want to see other teams catching up with Cig but as with every major improvement in a sport others will copy and bring up the level of the whole.

I think he keeps it high level enough that he doesn’t give anything away.  Like “production over potential” is true, but it’s much more complex than that and there are exceptions 😎.

These interviews get a bit repetitive, but they’re all little free ads for IUFB.  At this point I don’t think any program has a stronger identity than ours.  I’d guess that’s very helpful for recruiting.

Did anyone post the Rich Eisen interview? Just preceeded this one and sounds like it was done after Adam Breneman. Eisen is a good and different style of interviewer I think. He did hit on one new nugget: sounds like we have a Cignetti AFLAC commercial upcoming! Great for PR... think how often we've seen Deion or Saban in those over the years. Wild that it's Cignetti before Ryan Day or Kirby Smart. Also his more in-depth comments about Fernando were great.

For sure the strength of the pitchfork brand draws more attention than anytime since "87".

Speaking of Ryan Day … I predict he gets fired after we beat Ahia State again this year (unless he get in the 650 team playoff and wins the national championship).

@myteamisonthefloor I don't think he'll get fired, but there for sure would be lots of Buckeyes calling for his head! Here's hoping!

In the Rich Eisen one - Cig saying he does reflect on the success at times, then gives the example of thinking about how gets more for a 10 hour of work on a commercial, than he was paid as his first head coaching job salary. Grin "Just 10 years ago" .

This is all AI crap though! This Cig character...!

You cannot win at Indiana. Indiana just isn't a football school, and they have never won.

Think he said it was twice what his annual salary was at IUP!

Are there questions, specifically for the IU focused media in press conferences, that they are steered away from asking?

I've never understood asking the same white washed questions over and over again.
