2 million Indiana fans, 4 million SEC and Ohio State fans ready to crash the Internet with complaints. Nobody else?
That’s pretty exciting. Can’t hurt recruits watching and Mendoza’s Heisman chances.
In case anyone was wondering, the top 10 Oregon showdown had 5.6m viewers
IU disappointed a lot of hate watchers last weekend
I’m actually surprised it wasn’t higher. The OSU/PSU game the week before was over 7.1m. With the close game alerts going out I’m surprised the game didn’t surpass the OSU game.
OSU probably has more built in viewership with their fanbase.
We were pretty close to PSU at OSU though. IU at PSU turned out to be more exciting which surely helped quite a bit, but PSU at OSU was interesting for a half, and these ratings are average viewership... not peak.
IU at PSU was nearly a top-25 most watched game so far this year. Not bad!
My boss up here in upper Michigan, huge Southern Cal fan as he was raised out there, attended a wedding in Virginia Beach on Sunday, and he said many of them were visiting on Saturday and ended up all glued to the end of the game.
I said 'you probably thought it was over on that last drive'. He said 'no not at all, I knew you had a great offense, so I said Indiana was going to get it done.' To which I said 'after the sack, I thought it was over...' .
just saw this on X.IU at PSU turned out to be more exciting which surely helped quite a bit, but PSU at OSU was interesting for a half, and these ratings are average viewership... not peak.
