@kelly_32 pretty sure he got dinged in a pile up on the 4th or 5th UCLA play.
@kelly_32 and then he came up hobbling after the fake punt. Pretty sure that was the last time he was out there.
Cig just said he is "probable" for this next game.
Cig said he would call Franke questionable for Saturday too.
@tammany It would be a good time to add a LOVE emoji on this site with news like that!
Well, I would have preferred a 'Yeah, he's 100%" , over 'probable' .
But still pretty good. Glad to have you back Aiden!
@kelly_32 yeah he looked pretty good but I did notice a slight limp a few times when he was walking the sidelines. Like he was trying hard not to limp but it crept in a little. Hopefully it is not bad and Cig is not just saying that to bate Maryland.
With the state of Maryland's offense, we likely wont need him to secure a W - I would prefer we let a younger guy get some reps and let Fisher get an extra week of rest.
Our schedule to end the year is brutal travel wise, we are on the road 3 of our last 4 regular season games. We've got 8, possibly 9 games left in the season. Maintaining roster health has to be a priority here... and I hate to say it (dont want to stop Heismendoza's campaign) but that also means maybe letting younger Mendoza come in a little earlier if were up 4 TDs
@hoosierdaddy I think staying razor sharp, and beating everyones ass if we can, should be the sole focus. Maryland is talented enough to beat us if we take that game any sort of lightly. And obviously Penn State could beat us.
Having said that, yeah, if we get up 4-5 scores in the 2nd half, its probably a good idea if we get some key guys out of the games. We don't really need style points any more. Win all of our remaining games, by any margin, then beat OSU, and we'll be number 1 seed, no matter what anyone else does. Playing the 2's more will also help with effective depth for the CFP.
@iunorth Its not about taking them lightly, its about resting a single player - the defense played pretty well IMO when Fisher wasnt in against UCLA, Maryland has a worse offense than UCLA does.
With Franklin gone the interim HC for PSU loves to pound the rock with Kaytron Allen, who is very physical and a north/south runner. He got 28 touches against Iowa and I bet will get a similar number vs OSU and against us. We need to make sure Fisher is healthy for that game
