Really can’t afford any more injuries on defense.

At the game, I didn’t even realize he went out after 2 series.  Was it a knee twist or strain or did he get hit on the knee?

@big-red-cb-v-2-0 it was a hit on his calf while his foot was trapped/planted

Good idea to pull him.  We didn’t need to risk anything and we were handling business with backups, Utzinger and Turner.  Good to see that Byron Baldwin got his first playing time and had 3 tackles and 2 solos.

@big-red-cb-v-2-0 Agreed. Nowkowski got banged up too (thanks ref). IU also played more wide receivers today than they have. Davion Chandler and Lebron Bond got in. Becker and Brady were in more too.

Unless MRI’s are SOP for every leg injury, I worry to hear that …

I agree, but he was on the sideline and in good spirits the entire game. He was moving pretty well too. So fingers crossed.

He continued to play through the series where he got hobbled and IU was up 21-0 in the first quarter already I believe when he didn't come back out.

Which is all you need to know about the precautionary words from Cig.

@myteamisonthefloor MRI's are SOP, the UCLA QB had one on Monday and his injury looked worse last week. Hopefully nothing serious for Fisher!

He was very active on the sidelines, thinking the best news coming

@courtsense He also was in the locker room video pretty hyped singing the fight song. We'll try and find out tomorrow. I also wouldn't be shocked if they limited playing time if Maryland gets out of hand.

@thehoosierhuddle Hopefully Mendoza has 4 or 5 touchdowns by half and we can rest everyone

We need to stay fresh, with the playoffs and CCG we are only halfway through the season

Went back and watched the game. He looked fine to me after the injury. I think when we went up 14-0, the decision was made to pull him.
