Just getting home from this event at the Palladium. Here are my thoughts.
1. It was my first time at the Palladium and it’s an awesome venue.
2. The event was sold out. They had towels on every chair (pic to come).
3. Nothing groundbreaking from Scott Dolson on facilities. He was more of the warm up act for the coaches.
4. It was great to see all three of those men in a more relaxed setting, cracking jokes with Fisch.
5. I thought DeVries showed some personality, which was nice. He made fun of Don’s golf game and joked how it’ll be winter during the Peru trip.
6. DeVries talked about his recruiting philosophy for both HS and portal players, said he’d love to just use the portal to plug holes.
7. Cig was the star of the show. He played to the crowd. Led a few Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers cheers.
8. Coming on and leaving the stage it was clear that Cignetti was taking it all in. He was looking around at the crowd and up to the top seats.
9.Jeff Utzinger, Quinn Warren and Tyler Cherry were in attendance and helped draw tickets for a game day raffle.
Overall, it was a really nice event. A mix between a pep rally and a conversation than anything else.
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
You were about 20 feet to the left of the box where I was sitting.
It was a nice event. I'm still amazed at what has happened with IU football in the past 2 years. Cig has become a Hoosier and it fits him really nicely. We won the lottery.
Can't wait to see what happens this year. Hard (impossible) to top 16-0, but I have no self-imposed limitations. Can't wait for the OSU game with Game Day in Bloomington for a match-up between two Top 5 teams.

Nice comments. The surreal feeling still hasn't sunk in. I started out listening to IU football and basketball games on radio. Then I watched IU football on TV. Then I went to every minute of every home game as a student. Then I became bitter. Then I began to feel indifferent. Then I hoped IU would throw in the towel and move to the MAC.
And then a miracle!
For me, the blocked kick and fumble recovery against Illinois in 2024, is similar to the steal and dunk by Oladipo vs NC State on the road in maybe December 2011. Sentinel moments of a changing tide.

Haha. Good old IUBB.
