@vern-pain Alberto looked every bit the part of a B1G QB1. Looked much better than UCLA QB. Wow they have a long way to go and a very expensive QB . We have a QB ghost whisperer on our staff for sure.
BEAT PURDUE
I was disappointed in Makai Jackson. His chance to show the coaches enough to break into the main lineup but didnt impress. A couple bad drops. I know one was behind him, but actually Alberto put the ball in a safe spot between the DBs and not too close to the sidelines but he didn't adjust. That was a must catch ball even if the pass could've been better. Most college receivers catch that.
Of course ALL our receivers have had a lot of early drops which have gone away with more reps. I wonder whats up with that.
@thehoosierhuddle his only incompletions were drops by #2 twice. I'm also really liking Charlie Becker. I realize that with Sarratt, Cooper, Williams, etc there aren't that many plays available for him but I hope he keeps getting at least a few plays and hopefully a couple targets each game.

If our future QB is developed in house vs. the portal that works just fine, probably even better since he will have been here for so long.
Only thing I noticed that is a negative , was I was surprised Sarrat didn't get more touches but that's hardly a complaint ... nearly flawless game against a putrid opponent... which is exactly what we needed heading into Illinois
EJ Williams, then Sarrat, the Cooper. It has looked like they have almost worked on each featured WR one game at a time. If that's true, then IU is better than people think. Maybe just how things have worked out.
